Cures for laryngitis
I have laryngitis and I need to cure it in a few days. I have strained vocal cords and when I get this it tends to last for weeks. Besides not talking, what else can I do.

Infection of the larynx or the voice box results in laryngitis, a condition accompanied by inflammation and soreness. Try these simple remedies: - Providing rest to your voice atleast for a week is an effective remedy. - Rest in the form of sleep and lack of stress can also speed your recovery.
- Avoid irritants such as, tobacco smoke, as it acts as an irritant. - Vitamin C and zinc supplements prove helpful. - Avoid drinking alcohol.
- Gargling 3-4 times a day with warm salt water is beneficial.
