Treatment for recurring ringworm

I have recurring ringworm that I can't get rid of and have been prescribed Ketaconazole in cream and tablet form. How can I get rid of it for good?

Along with this medication which is been prescribed, you can also try these home remedies to get rid of ringworm.

  • Rub raw papaya on the affected area twice daily. It is very beneficial in curing ringworm.

  • Bath twice daily, this will not wash away the ringworm but it will help to give relief form the itch and will avoid its spreading further.
  • If you have ringworm on the scalp, olive oil works best when massaged daily at night and washed in the morning.  Continue this at least for a weak.

  • Wear loose fitted cotton/linen clothes and wash them daily in hot water.
  • Avoid alcohol consumption completely till you are on this medication.
