There are many manifestations of liver and kidney malfunctions.  Most often blood tests are used to monitor values of liver enzymes and kidney filtering capacity.  Urinalysis can also provide clues to the adequacy of kidney function.

Physical symptoms such as jaundice can point to liver malfunctions, but there are many more physical symptoms that can be experienced depending upon the individual and the cause.

For example, diabetes which develops over many years can gradually impact kidneys and other organ systems.  Without knowing the cause of liver and/or kidney disease, it is not possible to give a specific remedy.

Certainly, drinking a sufficient amount of pure/unfiltered water is good kidney support.  Avoiding alcohol and choosing "liver friendly" foods such as beets and dark leafy greens are ways to support liver function.
