Abdominal bloating is due to excess/inadeuqate acids and enzymes in the digestive process. While there are many herbs that can take care of this situation, best remedy is to eat green gram water and all fruit diet for five days. The elaborate procedure and reasoning is given at: http://groups.

Yes. There are several potential causes for abdominal bloating and gas after eating. The first step would be to ensure you have sufficient good bacteria. A high-quality therapeutic grade probiotic may be considered. Insufficient stomach acid may also be a potential cause --some apple cider vinegar in a little water prior to eating can stimulate the production of stomach acid. If you have insufficient digestive enzymes, some pancreatic support and a supplement containing some enzymes may be helpful. If your bloating and gas has a particular pattern with certain foods you may have a food sensitivity. The most common food sensitivities are wheat, dairy, soy, citrus, tomatoes, potatoes, eggs, corn and peanuts. Elimination of one of these foods for at least five weeks while monitoring symptoms can be helpful in determining sensitivities. There are also tests available through trained health care professionals. Burning, after eating may be due to an ulcer (which, in the short term, would not necessarily benefit from apple cider vinegar.) Consider visiting a trained health care professional to determine the cause for your symptoms. http://www.countrydoc.com Dr. Karen Benton, Naturopathic Physician
