Have you taken the guidance of your physician? Dietary modification and rest plays a great role in treatment of goitre. Consumption of foods deficient in iodine results in goitre. People on raw foods are not at risk compared to those on refined and processed foods. Consumption of sea foods prove beneficial. Weight gain is more, due to increased appetite. Foods rich in iodine, such as, tomatoes, strawberries, asparagus, garlic, cabbage, carrot, pineapple, oats and onion are recommended. Greasy foods, preserves, alcohol, sugar and condiments are better avoided.
