Hi Dee, There is no harm in rinsing your mouth with sunflower oil. Research done at the Russian Academy of Science suggests that when 1 tablespoon of sunflower oil is swirled in the mouth for 15-20 minutes, it activates salivary glands and releases enzymes. The oil should be swirled in the mouth and emptied by spitting. This detoxifies the body as toxins from circulatory and lymphatic systems are released. I have not come across research findings which say the same is true if the salivary glands are damaged with radiation but it is definitely worth a try. All the best!
