Body lice lives on human body and clothing, it’s a parasite which thrives on human blood.
The lice can survive for 24 hours without feeding, and when it is not feeding it is mainly found on clothes and its seams. It can be transmitted to other person indirectly via sharing clothes, bed sheets, beds and towels.

Lice feed on human blood, and they lay their eggs and deposit waste matter on the skin and clothing.

When body lice are not feeding on blood, they live in the seams and folds of clothing.

Body lice can be transmitted by contact with infected clothing and bedding as well as by direct contact with an infected person.
