Two years back I had good soft hairs, but now they are brownish, I used a lot of shampoo, I want my hair to be black. What should I apply that is available at home. Please help me out.

The color of your hair comes from the roots. It will naturally change color as you age. I am afraid there is really nothing you can do unless you dye your hair first.

Exposing your hair to harsh chemicals (shampoos) can be a possible cause for your problem, besides other causes like too much exposure to sun, deficiency of certain nutrients in your body or gradual decrease of the pigment melanin.

  • Boil black coffee/black tea in water till its strong. Cool it and use this to rinse your hair after wash. This will help to darken your hair.
  • Boil hibiscus leaves in 100 ml coconut oil for 10 minutes. Strain and put 25 ml olive oil in it. Boil and store in a bottle when cool. Regular application of this oil will be very helpful to improve the shade of your hair.
  • Wash your hair with natural sapindus mucorosai. Soak them in warm water overnight and next day morning wash your hair with it. It is very effective to maintain color and soft texture of your hair.
  • Maintain an ideal body weight. Have a balanced meal roughly including nuts, seeds, grains, legumes, milk, fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet to provide adequate amounts of essential nutrients.
