White Glue trick: Normally if it’s a small piece of sliver just under the skin, I would apply ‘fevicol’ (Glue) on the skin surface, wait for it to dry and peel it off. You should be able to peel off the sliver stuck to fevicol. I would not advise you to use needles. Digging with needles can hurt and push the splinter further inside. If you have to use tweezers, pick the ones with ridged edges and flat ends to hold as opposed to curved ones. These are available at most drugstores. I would use tweezers to pull out the sliver only when it comes to the skin surface with the white glue trick and not dig around too much with it. Do not be afraid to seek medical help from a doctor if the sliver is deeply embedded, occurs in a sensitive area such as the face or underneath a nail.
