Ringworm is a fungal infection that can invade the hair and skin of your scalp, causing hair loss. Yes, it is normal for the hair not to grow for a while after the ringworm leaves as due to this infection the hair shaft becomes brittle and breaks, but is not plucked from the root. So in some time, as the infection is completely treated hair would grow back.

Ringworm infection is a highly contagious infection, it can spread to other parts of the scalp or body, to avoid this ensure that the infection is treated completely with antifungal medications prescribed by a dermatologist.
