Some herbs that might be helpful are winter cherry, valerian, lemon balm, motherwart and hawthorn.
To suppress thyroid hormone production drink plenty of water and juice cabbage with carrots.
Avoid white flour products, dairy products, sugar, caffeine, MSG, processed foods and artificial sweeteners. There is a group of foods called goitrogens which naturally block thyroid hormone synthesis. Goitrogens include cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, kohlrabi, sweet potatoes, almonds, peaches and peanuts. You need to eat these foods raw to get the effect. Soy is known to interfere with iodine absorption in the gut also reducing thyroid hormone synthesis.

I have successfully treated hyperthyroidism with a combination of well-chosen homeopathic remedies and supplements. So, I would recommend you consult a trained health care professional to help you develop an appropriate treatment plan. It sometimes takes many months to get the endocrine system back into balance. http://www.countrydoc.com Dr. Karen Benton, ND

Hyperthyroidism is caused by the effects of too much thyroid hormone on tissues of the body. Treatment depends on the signs and symptoms and etiology of the disease. Internal cleansing is a vital part of any cure. Treatment includes radioactive iodine, surgery or medication. Take the guidance of a physician immediately.
