If you can get fresh margosa leaves, make a paste of about 30 leaves and apply topically on thrush area, twice a day.

Over growth of candida albicans (yeast) on skin or mucus membranes causes thrush.
Treat yourself and your baby simultaneously, to decrease its further spreading.

• Include yoghurt, buttermilk and avoid additional sugar in your diet. The acidophilus is a healthy bacterium in yoghurt that helps to keep the yeast balance in your gut. 
• Clean your nipples with warm paper towel to sooth them. Throw them after every use. Also rinse nipples after every feed with a mixture of 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar in 1 cup water.
• Boil pacifiers, nipple shields, chew toys and all other objects separately which you use for your baby to avoid further spreading.
• Discard the extra expressed milk which is not used. Also discard the nursing pads after each feeding.
• Don’t share your towels or rub your nipples with the towels, wear cotton bras and wash them thoroughly in hot water.
  Consult your pediatrician or gynecologist for an antifungal cream to apply on the affected areas.
