Treatment for fever

My 15 month old is sick and has a body temperature of 103.8 Can this be dangerous and what do I need to do? HELP!!!

The child's condition is more important than the temperature.  Fever is an elevation of the body's temperature above normal. A fever which is persistent is of great concern, though it rarely harms.

A paediatrician's guidance is immediately required if the rectal temperature of a baby (above 6 months) is 103*F.
