A beautiful and strong physique is a big boost to one’s self confidence. Therefore I can understand your need to lose those extra pounds and get in shape. The first step towards attaining weight loss is to realize that you are over weight.

Since you have not mentioned your height, it makes answering your question a little difficult, as weight is always measured in correspondence to a person’s height. So if you are around 174 cms., you are in perfect shape.

If not, here are some simple guidelines and home remedies you could use effectively in order to lose weight and attain a beautiful and healthy body!

Two of the most important aspects in tackling weight related problems are diet and exercise. In order to achieve your ideal weight you will have to sacrifice some of your favorite foods and snacks.
  • Abstain from eating foods that are rich in saturated fats and carbohydrates. As these have a direct impact on your weight. Fried chips and deep fried foods should be completely avoided.
  • If you are in the habit of drinking aerated drinks you will have to substitute them with natural juices, these are not only a healthier option but also ten times tastier. Natural juices are filled with vitamins that are essential for the body.
  • Fruits like apple, dates, oranges and lemons are a rich source of vitamin A and B1. Vitamin A is vital in promoting bone growth which is essential at your age, as also in boosting your immune system. Vitamin B1 on the other hand helps in the conversion of foods into energy.
  • Replacing your existing diet with fresh vegetables and fruits will work wonders for you. Vegetables are a rich yet low calorie source of energy. When consumed in moderate proportions, it provides the body with the energy it requires for performing various daily functions. Eating veggies helps flush out harmful toxins from the body, thus making you feel stronger.
  • Red meat should be substituted with white meat as it is low in fat and high in proteins. Proteins are essential in repairing wear and tear in the body. You could feast on moderate quantities of chicken and fish instead of beef steaks and swine ribs.
  • You will also need to regulate your eating habits. Eat smaller meals at regular intervals rather than the normal full sized three meals a day routine. Drink plenty of water as this helps the body feel full and reduces hunger pangs by almost sixty percent.

Sustain your diet with a good amount of physical activity. If you don’t play any sport, walking home from school would do the trick. The idea is to keep your body on the move, thus enabling it to convert fat into energy. Lastly always remember a balanced routine will help you not only lose weight but also improve your overall personality.
