Warts typically will go away on their own, over a period of time. Since they are caused by a virus, it is often the immune system which allows them to remain. So, one idea I have used (with some success) is to draw a line around the wart with a permanent marker and consciously direct the immune system to this spot. Do this for at least a month, or until a change occurs. With children, I can often "buy" the wart from them and it will gradually disappear -- it just seems to be a matter of timing. If the wart interferes with your activities, you might consider surgical or cauterizing therapies. http://www.countrydoc.com Dr. Karen Benton, Naturopathic Physician
