Apply Aloe Vera gel directly on the anus, relieves pain and soothes the burning sensation. Use Bayberry, goldenseal root, myrrh, and white oak in a salve form to relieve pain in the hemorrhoids. Brew a strong, warm tea using Lady's mantle ( yarrow ), and apply to the hemorrhoids with a cotton ball several times a day or as required.

Apply witch hazel with cotton pad 3 times daily to shrink swollen veins. Apply aloe vera gel to relieve pain.
Constipation is one of the major causes of hemorrhoids. For immediate relief of constipation here are some things you can try: magnesium at 1000mg along with vitamin C at 1000 to 5000mg then reduce to maintenance level of 400mg magnesium and 500 to 1000mg vitamin C -- one tablespoon of flaxseed oil -- an herb called cascara sagrada (don't use longer than 7 days).
High fiber diet will also help you to keep regular and will soften stools.
