Lysine -- Lysine prevents the absorption of arginine which the shingles virus needs to stay active. Take 1,000mg of lysine up to three times a day.

Cayenne Pepper and Aloe Vera Gel -- Try mixing a small amount of cayenne pepper and aloe vera gel.


Apply it to the infected area for immediate pain relief.

Apple Cider Vinegar -- Use ACV to relieve pain. You can apply the apple cider vinegar directly on the affected areas by dabbing it on with a soft cloth. Let it dry and then repeat as often as needed. It helps the blisters heal more rapidly.

Shingles are caused by herpes zoster virus, the same virus that causes chicken pox.Shingles often begins with pain or tingling. Then a red rash appears that's soon followed by blisters. Try these home remedies:

1. Topical use of diluted apple cider vinegar is beneficial. 
2. Rest will help your body's defenses come to your rescue.
3. Acupuncture provides some benefits.

4. Gently place a cold cloth on the blisters or wrap a towel around the affected area and pour ice water on it.
5. Colostrum, a pre-milk fluid produced by mammals contains a transfer factor, a substance that carries immune factors, effective against viruses.
6. Administration of pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) is recommended.
