Hi I am over weight by 20 Kgs but have a stout body as I serve in forces. However sometime I feel a little twitch in upper stomach which can be described like muscle twitch specially after the meals.

Hello! Chances are, your “stomach twitch” is caused by a spasm in your diaphragm. This is fairly common for people who lead physically active lives, as you do in the armed forces. There are several things that can help, the most effective would be to make sure you have correct posture while eating. This means sitting up straight, not slouching over your plate! This will straighten your diaphragm, which will make it less likely to spasm. The other thing is to make sure that you are breathing deeply and not eating too fast. Eating to fast is a huge problem for people in the armed forces! An herbal remedy that will help relax you and calm your stomach is peppermint. Drink a cup of peppermint tea after your meals, either hot or iced. If you are in the field or do not have time for a cup of tea, mint candies that have actual mint essential oil as a main ingredient will do the trick as well.
If the spasms persist and/or are painful, you should seek the help of a qualified natural health specialist who can direct you for various exercises and lifestyle changes that might help further.
