Warts Home Remedy
What is the best way to get rid of a wart? Are there any over the counter medicines that will work? Thank you.

Warts are a very common skin ailment that is characterized by the appearance of hard and rough growths on a person’s skin. Warts can be of varying shapes and sizes are usually found on the scalp, face, knees, elbows and fingers. Although they are generally harmless, these rough elevations can spread from one part of the body to another rather quickly.
Warts can be categorized into genital warts, common warts, foot warts and flat warts. This condition is brought about the human papilloma virus. There are plenty of OTC medications available, your local pharmacist will definitely be able to help you with the same. In the meanwhile here are some home remedies to treat the warts. Aloe vera gel is considered to be one of the most effective natural treatment for warts. Slice a piece of an aloe leaf into half and then scoop out the gel. Cover the wart with a liberal quantity of this gel and let the application stay on for about 20-30 minutes. Rinse it off with lukewarm water. This remedy, if performed 3-4 times a day, will help in dissolving the skin, while also toning the skin.
Castor oil is also known to be beneficial for this condition. Warm a teaspoon of castor oil and gently massage 2-3 drops of the warm oil on to the concerned area, preferably at bedtime. Leave the application on overnight and rinse it off with lukewarm water the following morning. You could also use tea tree oil in the same manner, as an alternative; this will also help the skin heal faster. Soak a small slice of onion in 2 tablespoons of vinegar overnight. The next morning place the slice over the wart and hold it in place with the help of a bandage. Let the slice stay on for an hour of two, after which you can rinse the area.
Raw potatoes can also be used to hasten the healing process. Gently rub the affected area with a small piece of the raw vegetable. This should be done several times a day on a regular basis, till you begin to notice visible results. Juice extracted from the herb marigold can also be used as a topical application. Place the fleshy inner portion of a banana peel on to the wart and cover it with the help of a bandage. Take the peel off after 2-3 hours. Banana peels are known to contain certain enzymes, which help in dissolving the wart safely.
