Hair fall is a condition that is characterized by the thinning or disappearance of one’s hair. Although this condition does not pose to be any kind of a health threat, it can however be a cause for concern. On an average we are lose about 100-150 strands of hair per day.
Anything above this figure is considered as abnormal. The reasons for hair fall are varied, some of which are; stress and anxiety, side effect of medication, unhealthy scalp conditions, nutritional deficiency, age, genetics and hormonal changes.
Here are a few home remedies that can help in reducing hair loss. Soak 2 tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in 500 ml of water. Leave this aside for an hour or two, after which massage the water into your scalp. Wrap your head with a towel and leave the application on for about three hours. Thereafter, rinse it off with a mild shampoo. Coconut oil is considered to be one the best remedies for this particular condition. Warm 2-3 teaspoons of the oil and leave it aside to cool. When the oil cools to a favorably warm temperature, massage it into your scalp for 5 minutes. Leave this application on overnight and rinse off the next morning with lukewarm water. This remedy should be performed three times a week, till you begin to notice visible results. Mix together equal amounts of olive oil, margosa oil and almond oil. The mixture of these oils should then be massaged into your scalp for 5-10 minutes. Leave it on for 2-3 hours, after which rinse it off with some warm water. This remedy will help in enhancing blood circulation while also nourishing the hair roots.
Massage the yolk of an egg into your scalp. Leave the application on for about 30 minutes and then rinse it off thoroughly with warm water. Consume plenty of fruits and green leafy vegetables. These will supply your body with all the necessary nutrients, thus keeping both your body as well as your hair healthy. Broccoli, cabbage, tomatoes, carrots, beetroots and fish are recommended for this condition. Thus, including them into your daily diet will be beneficial. Water also plays an important role here, so it is essential that you keep your body well hydrated by drinking at least 8-10 glasses everyday. Avoid the use of harsh chemicals, hair dryers and dyes on your hair, as this will simply aggravate the situation.
