Removal of scar caused due wound

Wounds cause sudden and excessive wear and tear of the skin tissue and often leave behind scars that can be rather difficult to get rid of completely. It is important that you take a few basic precautionary measures while the wound is healing in order to minimize the chances of deep scarring. Massage the area with the extract of aloe vera leaves every day to reduce the irritation and tightness that you feel on the skin around the wounded area. This keeps the skin naturally moisturized and soft, as well as promotes faster healing of the skin cells. Massaging the area with a few drops of vitamin E oil is also helpful in reducing the itchiness caused by a healing wound. At all costs, resist the urge to scratch the healing wound and let the scab fall off naturally instead of trying to pull it off.

In addition, you may find a few natural remedies useful for getting rid of scars left behind by wounds. Rub the area with a thin slice of a fresh lemon for 5 minutes thrice a day. The acidic juice of lemon acts as a natural bleaching agent that helps give the skin a uniform tone and thereby makes the scar look less conspicuous. You may also use a slice of tomato instead of lemon for similar results. Another useful remedy for removing scars is to mix a few drops of lemon juice with two teaspoons of honey and smear this mixture on the affected area. Wash the skin with water after 15 minutes for effective results. A very effective remedy from the kitchen is to mix equal portions of powdered oatmeal, yogurt, and sour cream. Add to it a few drops of lemon juice and apply this mixture on the skin. Allow it to dry naturally in the air for 10 minutes and then wash it off with cold water. A very popular and time-tested way of getting rid of wound scars and blemishes on the skin is to mix some sandalwood powder with a little rose water and apply this paste on the skin. You may also add some milk cream to the paste if you are planning to leave this mixture on overnight. Wash the paste off your skin gently using lukewarm water the next morning. Alternatively, mix a tablespoon of fuller's earth with a teaspoon of lime juice and a few drops of rose water and apply this paste on your skin. After 20 minutes, wash it off with cold water.
