Wrinkles are every woman’s living nightmare. They can be defined as delicate fine crease that are caused on account of sagging, thin skin. Wrinkles are more prominent on parts of the body such as the hands, neck and face.
These thin lines are formed when the elastin and collagen that is present in the skins connective tissue, is decreased or weakened. Wrinkles are surely not harmful to health, but they can be a cause for concern, as they give the skin an unhealthy and dull look. As mentioned earlier wrinkles are formed as a part of the natural aging process, however the premature formation of wrinkles is not uncommon. Smoking, pollution, prolonged exposure to the sun, drug use, anxiety and stress, weight loss and a loss of vitamin E are some of the cause for premature formation of wrinkles.
Although, once formed, wrinkles are very difficult to get rid off. Their appearance however can be diminished to some extent by following a few simple home remedies. Vitamin E is essential for our skin to stay healthy and strong. Thus, vitamin E oil serves as a great remedy for this condition. Empty the contents of one vitamin E capsule into a bowl. You may use more capsules depending on the area of concern. Gently massage a few drops of this oil onto the affected area 2-3 times a day. This remedy should be performed regularly if one is to achieve the desired results. Mix together half a teaspoon each of lemon juice and honey with two teaspoons of plain yogurt. To this, you will now need to add the contents of three vitamin E capsules. Mix the ingredients well and apply the mixture on to the concerned area with the help of a cotton ball. Rinse the application off with lukewarm water after about 10-15 minutes.
Warm a teaspoon of virgin coconut oil. Gently massage a few drops of the oil onto the affected area for a few minutes, at bedtime. Pineapple cores are also known to work well on wrinkles. Rub the core of a pineapple onto the wrinkles for five minutes. Let the application stay for another 15 minutes, after which you can wash it off with warm water. Eating a healthy and nutritious diet is also important, if one desires to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Fruits and green vegetables should be consumed in liberal quantities. Drink a substantial amount of water too, as this will keep the skin hydrated and healthy.
