Advice for dandruff and hair loss

You can take several easy and effective measures to cure dandruff and hair loss at home. These are not only inexpensive, they are also highly effective. Start with making a fenugreek rinse for your hair. Each night, soak a tablespoon full of fenugreek seeds in a glass of water and use this water to rinse your hair in the morning. If you can, swallow the soaked seeds with a separate glass of water too. Adding fenugreek to your diet will help to improve the strength and longevity of your hair strands from within. You should also try to get hold of evening primrose oil if you can. This can be applied to your scalp and strands and left overnight for excellent results. Evening primrose oil provides excellent nutrition to your hair and hair roots and makes your hair less vulnerable to breakage. In order to nourish your hair, you can also start the process of deep conditioning your hair about twice a week. Warm a couple of tablespoons of coconut or olive oil and rub it into your scalp. Leave it on for an hour and then apply the process of hot water fomentation. Soak a large towel in hot water, squeeze it out and wrap it around your head. Leave it on till it is no longer hot. Repeat this process a few times. This will help by opening your pores and making the oil penetrate deep into your scalp. Then you can wash your hair off as you normally would.

You should also take care that you are not causing hair fall. Avoid using hot irons and the hair dryer as much as possible. This will prevent breakage of strands. In order to get rid of dandruff, maintain a clean scalp. Keep in mind that some people have an oily scalp, which may have a tendency to attract more dirt. This type of hair might require a daily hair wash. If you are one of those, choose a mild natural shampoo and start washing your hair everyday. Sometimes, excessive accumulation of dirt can also aggravate dandruff. Before washing your hair, you can scrub a half lime into it. This will help by eliminating dandruff and cleaning your scalp of all dirt and grime. Lime is fresh citric acid which can dissolve oil so it helps to rid your scalp of excess oil without leaving it dry and flaky. Alternately, you can also use fermented and soured yogurt for the same purpose quite effectively.
