Warts are usually small rough tumor-like infection on the skin. It is caused by a virus known as human papillomavirus. Warts are contagious and therefore care should be taken not to share things of infected person.
Some dietary measures can be quite effective in treating warts. It will be good if you follow an all-fruit diet for about two to three days. Eat a meal of fresh fruit and fruit juices during this period.
You can consume fruits like papaya, apples, oranges, pineapples, mangoes, grapes, pears at regular intervals. After this period of all fruit diet, you can follow a well-balanced diet consisting of green fibrous vegetable, fresh fruits, whole grains, nuts, seeds, cereals, and sprouts. You should emphasize more on fruits and vegetables, which you can consume raw as a salad or lightly steamed. Raw fruits and vegetables will also provide the body with enough fiber to clean up the digestive system, which in turn will help to keep your skin healthy. Vitamin A- and zinc-rich foods, which are considered good for treating acne, can also be helpful here. Vitamin A can be found in vegetables like carrots, broccoli, and spinach and fruits like peaches, apricots, and mangoes. Common zinc sources are whole grains, nuts and pumpkin seeds. Besides this diet, drink plenty of water throughout the day. Water will flush out toxins from the body and keep your skin hydrated.
The list of foods that need to be avoided includes: processed or preserved foods, sugar, caffeinated drinks, refined flour, meat, and any other foods rich in trans or hydrogenated fats generally found in fast food,as well as tinned, canned and frozen foods. In addition to this, limit or if possible, eliminate your intake of milk-based products Foods rich in oil, spice, or condiments should also be avoided.
While you follow these dietary steps, you can also try out a few other natural remedies to remove the warts. You can use castor oil regularly every night on the warts. Apple cider vinegar and grapefruit seed extract can also be used. Rubbing the affected skin with slices of raw potato is another effective method. Similarly, you can also use crushed pieces of garlic or onion on the warts. A mixture of lemon juice and apple cider vinegar may also help treat the warts. You can also try using pineapple and papaya juice on the affected skin. The milky sap of the dandelion plant and the juice of leaves of marigold plant can be helpful too.
