Remedies for Dry Skin Treatment

My skin is very dry. It is mostly on my whole body. Please suggest a remedy for it.

If you are suffering from dry skin on your whole body, the best thing you can do is also try and treat it accordingly. To begin with, you should try to change your diet to inculcate a certain amount of grease in it. This will ensure that your skin does not suffer from a lack of grease.


Although this sounds pretty much like an old wives’ tale, it is totally effective. If you are on a totally grease free diet, your whole skin will suffer from it. Even I you are on a low calorie or a low fat diet for health reasons, you should ensure that you at least consume four tablespoons of grease in your day, this alone will make a difference.


It is also possible that you are suffering from the problem of dry skin. This can also be remedies by using certain topical applications for your skin. You can make these remedies right at home. To begin with, if you can, try to have a soak in the bathtub each evening. To the warm to hot water in your tub, you can add a tablespoon of any oil for excellent results. Preferably, use olive oil, since this is an excellent hydrating and moisturizing agent for the skin.
    
Once out of the bath, try not to use soap. If you are going to be using any soap, try to use one that has some oil content in it. These are also fairly commonly available everywhere. Keep in mind that soap is made of carbolic, and this chemical has the property of drying up the skin to a very large degree. In particular, if you are suffering from dry skin, it will dry the skin up even faster. You should also try to make it a daily routine of applying moisturizing cream or lotion to your entire body each day after a bath. This will show you a visible difference. And with your kind of dry skin, you can cease to worry about whether it will generate sweat. In all likelihood, all of the oiliness of the cream will be totally absorbed. For a while at least, you should try to follow this regimen twice a day. While this may take up a few extra minutes of your time every day, it will be completely worth it, because it will ensure that you seal in moisture into your skin and it does not escape.
