The first thing you need to know is that there is no way to treat a disease like vitiligo "very fast". For most part, this is a pretty much incurable problem. In some cases, however, there are cures available.

But you will have to work for long periods of time. Treatment can be frustratingly slow and can sometimes run into years as well. You need to be prepared for this before you start trying anything at all.

Cases of vitiligo that have been passed down through heredity are also quite impossible to cure completely. So the first thing you need to check is whether indeed you have inherited this disease. If you have, then you also need to prepare yourself for the fact that it may not be possible to cure the problem altogether. Some ancient herbal methods can be used to treat vitiligo. One of the cheapest and easiest to use methods is to make a paste with cabbage leaves and apply it to your white patches. This can be helpful in bringing pigmentation back to your skin. Basically, vitiligo is a problem that occurs when the skin fails to produce enough melanin, which is the dye that lends color to your skin. This results in patches or spots of discoloration. Mostly, the skin is white in patches, rather than being of any other color.

Another remedy that is believed to show results is application of sandalwood paste to your patches. However, this would have to be done on a daily basis for you to see any positive results. Moreover, it is good to be aware that this remedial method, like all others, will take a long time to show positive results. The secret behind success of these methods, as said before, is to keep trying them out. You should also try to eliminate certain types of food from your daily diet. This will also make a difference, in that your patches will at least not increase in number, size or discoloration. Fish is to always be avoided by people who are afflicted with vitiligo. In particular, the combination of fish and curds is one that will cause harm. You should see to it that you also not take curds with pickles. This is another combination that will lead to increase in the number of patches that you may have. You should try these remedies for at least a few months before you can see results.
