The inside of the nose being dry is a fairly common occurrence. This is particularly so for people who live in cold and dry climates and countries. Moreover, this is not a condition or problem restricted to suffering in winter alone.
It can also affect people in the summer. If you are in a place where the dryness factor is very high, then you should know that this can also inordinately dry up your skin to a very large extent. If you are asking whether you have scabs from picking your nose due to dryness, then the answer is that there is a strong possibility of this.
If you are requesting a solution from the situation, then there are several ways you can prevent the scabbing from occurring. You can actually use some simple home based methods to help out with your situation. To begin with, the first thing you must do is stop picking your nose altogether. This may be more difficult to suggest than to actually follow, but it is the best solution for your particular problem. But you should consciously try to stay well away from picking your nose. If you have to, clip your nails to keep yourself away from the temptation. This could help you out.
The second thing you would have to do is take care of the dryness. As a practice, you can begin by blowing out your nose every morning during your bath. Then, you can start applying some oil to the inside of your nostrils each morning after a bath. If you get excess oil into your nose, you can clean it away at once. You may use any oil you like for this purpose. The aim of the exercise is to keep your nose well moisturized so that the skin inside does not remain quite so dry. This will not allow it to break so easily when you pick your nose even accidentally. In the beginning, you may have to repeat this procedure a few times throughout the day, as your skin may be excessively dry. Before going to bed as well, you should make it a point to blow out your nose well and then apply a layer of oil to it. This will help your nose to heal all night too. If possible, use olive oil for this purpose. Continue with this practice till your nose is free of scabs and the skin is back to normal.
