You can also apply a paste made with turmeric powder, sandalwood powder and rose water to get rid of the white patches. Sandalwood powder is also particularly soothing to the skin where the patches are, which is also sometimes sensitive. It is said that polished and white rice is detrimental to your health if suffering from leucoderma. You would do well to try and avoid this. It is also preferable to avoid food that contains chemicals and preservatives, as these are considered to be harmful in the case of leucoderma. Alcohol and tobacco can also cause more damage if you are suffering from the white patch disease. They are both best avoided.
