There is absolutely no way you can stop your feet from sweating, and it is best that you know this simple fact from the outset. Apart from the armpits, the feet are the area where there is maximum concentration of sweat glands. There can be millions of sweat glands on your feet and to hope for all of them to become jobless simultaneously is too much to expect!
There are a few common problems associated with sweating feet. If you are plagued with any of those, there can be some simple solutions that can be applied to your case. For instance, the commonest problem with excessively sweating feet is that they can stink, or emit strong odors. In order to take care of this problem, you can try some methods using ingredients straight out of your kitchen. Soak your feet in strong tea that has been brewed and cooled. Tea contains tannin, a substance that can help to eliminate strong as well as nasty smells from your feet. It will also help to destroy bacteria that tend to reside at your feet.
Bacteria will always fester when there is lots of moisture and darkness. So if you keep your feet covered, then make it a point to stop doing this as much as possible. Remember that if you wear socks and shoes most of the time, it is inevitable that your feet will perspire and you will be faced with the consequences of the same. If you have to keep your feet covered at all times, you should make it a point to do a tea soak each night. Rinse your feet well and then let them air dry before going to bed. This will help to fight odor causing bacteria. In the morning, make it a rule to use talcum powder before you don shoes and socks. You should also always wear cotton socks. These will allow for circulation of air through and to your feet quite well. You should also wash your socks after each use. If possible, change socks at least twice a day to help prevent odor. Synthetic socks, on the other hand, will trap not only moisture but also keep your feet unnecessarily warm, thus making them an ideal breeding ground for bacteria. As far as possible, try to wear canvas, cotton or open toed shoes as well. This too will help you to fight foot odor and perspiration greatly.
