If you are experiencing pain associated with any kind of insect sting, you can apply one or two remedies at home to take care of it. But before you begin, you would have to ensure that the "sting" has been taken out of your body. This would be important if the wasp had a sting which it inserted successfully in your body.

Generally, the remedies that would work for a bee sting would also work for being stung by a wasp. You would have to get rid of the sting, and then start working towards curing the after effects. It is essential that you be aware of the fact that if left untreated, a sting can cause some pretty serious damage.

It can also result in death, particularly if you have been stung by a wasp which left behind a certain amount of toxins in your body. If 48 hours have passed since you were last stung, and you are still in excruciating pain, then you should know that it is time for you to visit the emergency room. This will probably be the only way you can save yourself. But if your pain has reduced in its intensity over a couple of days, then you can actually take care of it at home.

One of the best remedies to heal any kind of pain that is topical is to apply a mixture made with turmeric powder and rose water. The turmeric powder will heal the injury, while the rose water will help to soothe the pain caused. Rose water is an exceptionally soothing agent for the skin. You can also use sandalwood powder in this mix. It will help to ease your pain as well. Sandalwood powder also has soothing properties which will help to soothe the burning sensation. You can also apply calendula or calamine lotion to ease the sting and pain. Another excellent product to use is tincture of arnica. This is available in stores that sell natural or organic goods. It could also be available at a pharmacy. This is an excellent healing product and will help to heal very quickly. Witch hazel is another product that can be used for quick and painless healing of your sting. You can either buy and use pads, or simply buy the fluid and use it with cotton wool. Both ways will work. You should try these remedial measures within 24 hours of having been stung. If you see no significant change, consult a doctor.
