The description you have provided sounds like you may be suffering from polycystic ovarian disorder (PCOD). In order to determine or eliminate this, you would have to consult with a gynecologist. Only a proper medical examination can reveal whether this is the case.
If indeed you are suffering from this problem, then your best bet is to get medical help for it. Once you are following a proper course of treatment, you can also adopt some simple measures at home to help along with the problem. Keep in mind that this disorder could very well be inherited. It could also be due to your general lifestyle. In any and all cases, you should not try to remedy the situation by yourself. If anything, you might end up worsening your own case. You have to take a proper course of medicine for treating PCOD. Among the measures that you can take on your own, the first thing is that you must start regulating your lifestyle in terms of diet and exercise as well as proper rest. It is essential that you not take on too much of stress. A proper routine of diet and exercise will also go a long way towards helping your body return to basic good health.
Try to get in some exercise every day if you can. The best thing for you to do would be to try a hand at about an hour of Yoga each day. It is best if you learn this under a proper qualified trainer. If you cannot find a local gym or health center where you can learn this, try to hire a personal trainer for yourself. Though a bit expensive, this will be a good investment in your own state of health. You must also try to eat food that is simplistic and will not tax your digestive system too much. This will also help you out. Eating excessively spicy or rich food can put your system out of whack. If you are overweight, try to lose weight - often, returning to a healthy body weight contributes greatly to normal ovulation and menstruation. In the last few years, a nutritional supplement known as D-chiro-inositol (DCI) has shown promise in treating PCOD. You should ask your doctor about this supplement. Keep in mind that even after following a routine of medicine and regulating your lifestyle, it may take months for your body to start responding to them. Do not give up hope.
