In order to take care of any problem, it is always important to know why the problem has arisen in the first place. If you have been undergoing such extensive and strong treatment for two whole months, it is also possible that you have been diagnosed as to what the problem is. Generally, this problem does not have any well known or established cause.

But in some cases, causes such as hormonal deficiencies or physiological reasons such as injuries may be determined. If you have had any of the causes mentioned here, then a cure would follow a route that would be relevant to and based upon the cause. But if you are one of the majority of cases that have undetermined causes, then all you can do is try to figure out what has caused the problem and try to resolve the issue.

Sometimes, a burning mouth or tongue can be caused by initiating a new medication that is totally unrelated to the problem. When this happens, you would simply have to stop taking the medication and switch to something else. You can ask your doctor for differently formulated chemicals that may not affect you thus. It could also be possible that you are suffering from hormonal disorders that are causing this problem. This would need you to get a complete hormonal profile done, and then to find a cure.

Sometimes, an excess of acidic substances left over from your food can also cause this problem. This typically happens when your diet is high in acidic substances to begin with. Examine what you eat and eliminate this if it is the cause of the problem. You also need to make sure that you are not suffering from any kind of oral infection that could be a probable cause of this problem. This would have to be taken care of by using antibiotics and strong medicines if it is the case. Sometimes, an excessive build up of body heat can also lead to this symptom. If this is the case, you will experience the burning not merely on your tongue but on the soles of your feet, head and eyes as well. You should wash out the burning part with rose water if this is the case. Make it a point to drink chilled or cool milk to which you have added ground poppy seeds every day. This will cool your body very well from within.
