Migraine headaches usually affect one side of the head. Although migraine is usually attributed to stress and the tensions of work and family, you will be surprised to know that in actual fact they are related to problems with your digestions. Sometimes people suffer from migraines when they require an intensive eye test.
If you have not had your eyes tested to check their sight, then you should immediately do this. You may find that you need glasses and that is why you have been suffering from these migraines. The sudden flashes of light that you have been seeing require immediate medical attention.
You should consult your doctor at the earliest.
If you have been working very hard and have not had proper sleep of food for some time, the headaches could be attributed to these conditions. You should ensure that you eat three regular meals, well balanced and healthy. You should also take a break and ensure that you get sufficient amount of sleep. Listening to music or traveling to new places are various ways by which you can relax and get a break from the tensions of your daily life. If you are suffering from allergic reactions to something, this could be reason for your sudden manifestation. Low blood sugar is another reason for migraines to occur. You should consult your doctor at the earliest since you will have to have a complete examination to determine the exact cause of the flashes of light that you have been experiencing. In the meanwhile, you can try to relax a little. Lie down in a darkened room and try to relax. You can also use the leaves of a cabbage for some relief from the pain. Crush a few leaves and tie them up in a thin cloth. Hold this to the part of your head that hurts. You can discard the leaves after some time and use fresh ones. You can also use the crust of lemons to get relief from the pain. Grind the curst of some lemons to a paste, using some water. Apply this to the part of your forehead that hurts. Drinking vegetables juices too can give you relief from the pain of a migraine. You can extract 300 ml of carrot juice and mix this with 200ml of spinach juice. Another variation that you can try requires 300 ml of carrot juice. Add to this 100 ml each of beetroot and cucumber juices and drink.
