Healthy Diet To Gain Weight

I am 15 years and 159cms and 44kg. Please tell me some easy ways to gain weight.

It is always surprising to know that the methods to gain weight are quite similar to the ones to lose weight. The secret lies in bringing the body to its optimum weight at any given time. To begin in your quest to gain weight, you must begin with regularizing your lifestyle.


The first thing to do is to inculcate a routine of regular exercise. Exercise helps you to gain weight in a two pronged manner. The first thing it does is increase your muscle mass.


This may not increase inches, but it will automatically increase your weight, since muscle mass is heavier than fat. The second benefit of exercise is that it increases your appetite. If you are a poor eater, then you would need to stimulate your appetite. Exercise is the best way to achieve this.

The next step you would need to take is to check your eating habits. If you are eating inadequately, then you should increase your intake. The best way to do this is to start eating five to seven small meals a day as opposed to two or three large ones. This will help you to gain weight in a healthy manner, as opposed to you eating excessively and putting on ungainly weight. You should also check what you eat. Work towards increasing your carbohydrate intake. This would include foods such as breads, rice, potatoes, sweet snacks and bakery goods. Carbohydrates are the best way to put on weight quickly and easily. Make sure you have a generous helping of carbohydrates with each meal. You should also increase your intake of nuts like cashews, almonds, pecans, walnuts, peanuts and hazelnuts. Nuts are not only extremely healthy to eat, they will also help you to gain weight and keep it on. You should also add table salt to your diet. A slightly higher than normal salt intake at your age will not harm you in any way. Instead, more salt will help you tremendously with weight gain. You will be retaining more water in this process and will be able to keep your weight on. Subsequently you would also have to increase your water intake. You can do this by adding juices to your diet as well. In fact, juice makes an excellent snack too. Just make sure you accompany it with at least some carbohydrate. Do keep in mind that you would have to follow these methods for about a month at least before results begin to show.
