Erectile Dysfunction, also commonly known as ED, can be a result of a vast variety of things. The first thing you need to know is why you are afflicted with this particular ailment. In order to determine this and to rule out any serious medical disorder, you must first get a medical examination.

This will reveal the extent of the problem physiologically. Do remember that stress is one of the leading causes of ED. Sometimes, stress can affect this part of your anatomy so much that a medical examination will reveal that there is actually nothing physically wrong, and the problem all lies with your stress levels.

This is a very real possibility and cannot be ignored. The other problem lies with a sedentary lifestyle. This is also a known culprit for causing erectile dysfunction. In order to take care of your problem apart from a medical ailment of some sort, there are some very simple lifestyle changes you can follow.

The first is to start a routine of exercise on a daily basis. If you cannot indulge in any vigorous form of exercise, you can always go for Yoga. This will make a huge difference. Try to learn the proper Asanas from a qualified Yoga instructor. This will make sure you go about it the correct and proper way. You can also take a brisk walk everyday for no less than 30 minutes. If you are not used to any form of exercise, then you can begin walking for about 10 to 15 minutes and then slowly work your way up. Any and all kinds of exercise release endorphins, these are considered to be "happy hormones" that will bring about not only a rise in your mood, but also improve your metabolism. If your general health and metabolism improve, you will notice that problems such as erectile dysfunction begin to slowly disappear. Exercise is also a good way to beat stress and this will help to improve your situation further. There are also some simple dietary changes you can make which will go a long way towards improving your condition. For instance, eating foods that are commonly considered to be aphrodisiacs will help you along. This would include foods such as bananas, chocolates, strawberries, grapes and garlic. This is of course not to say that you will notice miraculous results at once. The change will be gradual and will take some time to happen.
