There are a few remedial measures you can employ to take care of diseased gums as well as dental decay. However, the most important thing is for you to know what the problem is and where it lies. You could be afflicted with problems such as gingivitis or pyorrhea.

The best thing to do before you begin trying to resolve matters with your own hands is to get a medical opinion. Consult a dentist who would be the best person to present a proper diagnosis. If indeed you are faced with these troubles, then the best course of action for you would be to follow a proper course of medication top get rid of them, as they are degenerating problems.

This also means that most of the time they do not really go away or resolve themselves on their own. This is particularly true if your disease has reached an advanced stage. If you are in the formative stages, there are a few remedial measures you can apply to get rid of them. Do keep in mind that if home made treatments do not work for a month or so, you would need to go back to the dentist’s chair.
One of the most tried and tested method to attack the roots of dental decay is to rub your teeth with a mixture of lime powder. This would mean plain white chalk powder. This is known to strengthen your gums considerably. This is because you are applying direct calcium to your teeth and gums. One more good way to tackle dental decay is to start flossing your teeth regularly. If you can, try to use minty floss, as this will also help with bad odor, if you have any. Rubbing Aloe Vera gel on your gums will also help to heal them. Make sure you get the kind that is not labeled with a “for external use only” mark. This cannot be ingested and may cause more harm than good. Dental decay can also be taken care of via rinsing your mouth with warm salt water. For the general good health of your teeth and gums, make sure your diet is rich in vitamin C. this will help you greatly. Indian gooseberry is particularly helpful in this matter. Try to eat the berry fresh if you can get your hands on it. Otherwise, it is easily available in stores that sell natural and organic goods.
