Easily gain weight with a healthy diet including fruits and vegetables

I'm a 22 year old girl. My height is 5'1 and I weigh just 41 kg. Can you tell me what should be my average weight? Please tell me some home remedies or diet by which I can gain weight easily?

For a person who is of your height, ideally your weight should be anywhere between 50 to 54 kgs. You are indeed under weight for your height. You can gain weight but you will have to work at doing this.


Although gaining weight is easy, if you want to gain weight in a healthy manner, then you will have to work at it. Your routine will have to be followed for a few months before you notice any difference in your weight.

Eating is not the only aspect of your lifestyle that will have to undergo changes in order to gain weight.


You will also have to ensure that you lead an overall healthy life. For this you will have to follow a strict routine. In the mornings you should get some physical exercise. A walk is not only good exercise, it can also help you relax and forget your stress. A jog is another option that you can explore. You can also begin some simple yoga asanas since these can help you relax. It is very important that you are not stressed since this can play havoc with your lifestyle and prevent you from gaining weight. So you should ensure that you relax by indulging in something that you enjoy. Make sure that you get sufficient sleep so that you are always fresh and alert.

Your breakfast should include a variety of fruit. Musk melon is a fruit that can help you gain weight and so should be eaten regularly. In addition to this you can also take fruit juices. However you should try and avoid food that contains white flour. So you can substitute your white bread for the healthier brown bread option. Eat fresh vegetables. Vegetables like potatoes, cauliflower can be consumed regularly. Remember to eat a relaxed meal. Chew well and take your time over your food since this helps you digest your food better. Mangoes should also be consumed regularly since they can help you gain weight. Eat ripe mangoes as many times as possible during a day. Accompany this with a glass of milk. You can also eat figs and raisins. Dried figs become more effective in increasing weight when they have been soaked in water overnight. You can eat raisins as a snack since these are very effective in helping you gain weight.

Other food that you can eat is fish. Fish is healthier than any other meat and can be consumed regularly.
