How to Treat Scabies Naturally
It's an eight-legged tiny creature that has a habit of burrowing and it's known as sarcoptes scabei. Sarcoptes scabei loves to burrow into skin and this leads to itchy skin - a condition known popularly as scabies. Scabies's contagious.

It can spread rapidly in places such as hospitals, nursing homes, schools, etc unless preventive are taken. At times, the infection can be so severe, doctors have to prescribe preventive medication for the family of the patient as well so that they don't turn up in a week affected by the burrowing of sarcoptes scabei.

Scabies manifests itself as tiny blisters or bumps that mark the site of the burrowing. Mostly, scabies affects the armpits, the webs of skin between fingers, the inner elbow and the soles of feet. It can also affect the genital area and the breasts as well. So, hygiene here is of paramount importance. You need to wash all your clothes in warm soapy water and dry them out completely. This goes for the bedsheets and towels you use as well. Also, soak your skin in cold water or apply a cool sponge to the affected areas. This brings down the itching considerably. This apart, do apply calamine lotion as well. Fresh juice of apricot leaves and bitter gourd also help in the treatment of this disease.
