Warts appear on the skin in all shapes and in all sizes as well. They usually find themselves growing quite comfortably on skin covering fingers, knees, and the scalp. They also occur on the face and the elbows too and do look quite ugly.
The ones that appear on the soles of your feet are quite commonly known as planter warts. Planter warts are reputed for the immense pain that they cause as you try to walk.

Swimming pools are the place to turn up in if you intend to contract warts. Swimming pools are also the place where a number of skin infections breed.
A number of natural remedies can be used to treat the menace of warts. Castor oil is said to be effective in treating warts. Apply generous portions of the oil over the areas affected by warts every night. And do remember to continue the treatment for a period of five to six months. Another remedy that is used very often is the juice of fresh figs. Extract the juice from fresh figs and apply it on the warts as frequently as possible. Continue this treatment for around two weeks.
Potato too has been known to have curative properties that help to deal with warts. Cut the raw potatoes into tiny slices and apply these slices as often as you can on the affected areas. This treatment too needs to be followed for at least two weeks. Besides potatoes, you can also use onion. Onions are known to irritate the skin and this irritation regulates the circulation of blood. To deal with warts, you must rub the peels of onion over them gently as frequently as possible.
Another exotic natural remedy involves the use of the herbs dandelion and marigold. The sap that is procured from the stem of marigold does help to cast off warts.
