High blood pressure or hypertension is a medical condition in which there is a chronic rise in blood pressure levels. There are two types of blood pressure primary or secondary. Primary hypertension means that no factors can be attributed to explain why the patient has high blood pressure.
Secondary blood pressure means that the hypertension is a result of other medical conditions; for example kidney disease or tumors. Chronic hypertension can lead to heart failure, strokes, aneurysm and chronic renal failure. Unless hypertension is treated there is a great danger of losing one’s life.
There are some natural cures for hypertension that are complementary to conventional therapies for treating hypertension. These remedies are mostly all food items that you can incorporate in your diet, but make sure to consult your doctor before using the following. Regular consumption of onions and garlic can help reduce hypertension levels. Fish oil (omega -3 oils) is also thought to be beneficial in reducing hypertension symptoms. Make sure to consume low fat products as far as possible in order to lower your levels. Control the amount of salt you consume and avoid red meat as far as possible. The sodium leads to an increase in blood pressure and the red eat contributes to increasing your blood pressure levels. incorporate fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet as well as it is very effective in reducing blood pressure, therefore eat stuff like potatoes, oranges (vitamin c helps control the rise of blood pressure), cabbage etc. along with this make sure to eat your meals regularly and on time, this helps your body function better and reduces the risks of sudden attacks. Indulge in light exercises or walking to keep yourself active and avoid getting overstressed as it is the major cause of high blood pressure. as far as possible do not consume nicotine or alcohol as it tends to affect the body’s proper functioning.
