You get a scar when the deep dermis layer of your skin is damaged. If the scar is deep, it will not be possible to get rid of it completely. Chicken pox generally leaves rather large "holes" especially on facial skin and you would need to go in for laser therapy to treat them.

If the scarring is relatively recent, you can massage your skin daily with a little coconut oil. Coconut is rich in antioxidants and will help with the healing and restructuring of a scar. In addition to this, massaging your skin, increase the blood flow to the affected area, which helps it to heal more efficiently.

Lemon juice is a natural bleach and so you can apply it daily to help diminish dark scars. Using lemon juice along with honey has been seen to yield better results as honey is high in antioxidants and nutrients. Make sure that you use dark honey as it has a much higher antioxidant level. Before going to sleep apply a paste of sandalwood powder, black gram flour and rose water. Leave it on all night and wash it off with warm water in the morning. This treatment is generally considered to be highly effective for people with chicken pox scars. Although this treatment will not completely eliminate the scars, it will definitely help to reduce them. Tomato juice is acidic and so you can use it along with a spoon of sugar to scrub your face. This natural face scrub will help to slough off the upper layers of dead skin and diminish scarring. You can also mix a pinch of baking soda along with a few drops of water and use this paste to scrub your face gently. In addition to this, make sure that you have a balanced diet and exercise regularly.
