Natural tips for hidradenitis suppurativa in armpits and pubic area

Knots in the groin area are known as Hidradenitis Suppurativa. These are not merely knots, they can also come about as hard and angry red boils which regularly lance themselves and emit a yellow pus like substance. The skin will also typically be inflamed, and you will develop scars over a period of time as well. Unfortunately, there is no known medical treatment for Hidradenitis Suppurativa. A possible reason for this could also be that there are no known causes for it. There are some theories which support that it is caused due to primary hair which is coarse and pulls every which way, thus causing the hair follicle to develop inflammation and then bumps. This is because generally, Hidradenitis occurs in areas such as the pubic area and the armpits. But there is nothing which expressly supports this theory.

You can follow some general care tips for this problem, since there is no way you can get rid of it altogether. Of course you can always try surgery, but do remember that there is no guarantee that surgery will prove to be a permanent solution. It could so happen that the problem may recur after a few weeks, months or even years of surgical removal. One of the ways to provide relief, especially after a boil has drained its pus, is to apply a paste made of sandalwood and rose water. This will cool the area down and provide relief, since the bursting of a boil will generally be accompanied with a burning sensation. You should also make it a point to wash the afflicted area at least four to five times a day, and more often if you can. This will ensure that you are not creating a breeding ground for festering infection. Avoid smoking, as this is known to aggravate the condition.
