Neck pain can be caused due to a variety of reasons and getting relief often involves a few easy steps, however if the pain keeps returning then it could be the cause of another underlying ailment and will need medical attention. The simplest way to ease a pain in the neck is to lay flat on the ground and relax your neck, avoiding using a very hard or very soft pillow for support. Ice is very effective for relieving pain and reducing any inflammation present, therefore try using an ice pack for the neck and apply the same for a period of fifteen minutes at a time.

Interchange this now and again with a heat pack. The heat will help improve the blood circulation and thus relax the neck muscles. An indirect cause of neck and body tension is stress and relaxing your mind will also help a great deal.

Back pain is also caused due to excessive tension on the nerve endings of the spine and the muscle connecting the spine. Therefore identify the exact area in which the pain occurs and use the hot and cold therapy for relief. There is one alternative remedy that you can try and it is available in the form of a cream. Capsicum is an important ingredient in chilies. This capsicum extract is used in cream form and when applied to the skin it has been found to lower the amount of a particular neurochemical that helps in transmitting pain. The cream is available at drug stores and some health food stores. However wear protective gloves and avoid getting any of the cream near your eyes when trying it out. Your headaches may be caused due to a variety of reasons that range from stress to lack of sleep or even another medical condition. The best way to resolve this is consult a doctor to understand what is causing the pain. Sometimes even your diet could be a cause of your head aches. Cutting down on dairy products might help relive the headaches, even the avoidance of foods that contain nitrites and sulfites (which help in increasing blood flow and indirectly cause pain) might help reduce the intensity of the headaches.
