The description you have provided sounds exactly like the initial symptoms of a urinary tract infection (UTI). In order to be sure of what exactly the problem is, you must go for a medical examination which will determine or eliminate a UTI. If your bladder hurts, you could also be suffering from a bladder infection, or even a kidney infection.

However, it does not seem to be so, as bladder infections are usually accompanied with many more symptoms. The symptoms that usually accompany bladder infection are also quite severe - they may range from just plain burning sensations to blood in the urine, chills, sweating, fever, body ache and general flu like symptoms. Generally, the description of your symptoms fits within the range of a regular UTI.

If indeed you are suffering from a UTI, there are a few generic home remedies you could follow that are generally quite effective. The first thing to do would be to start consuming large quantities of water and cranberry juice. This is the best way to battle the problem of UTI. Drinking excessive quantities of water will help to flush out extra toxins from your body. Cranberry juice contains a certain type of chemical which will not allow any infection to fester on the walls of your urinary tract. This would include the urethra as well as the bladder. You can also start consuming large quantities of yogurt, as it contains live bacteria which will feed of the infection and will cure you from within. Alternately, yogurt can also be topically applied to the external organ, and this will help as well. In order to take care of sanitizing the condition, you can also make a rinse out of a cup of water to which two tablespoons of baking soda has been added. This can be used to clean the surface area of your genitals. It will keep clean and destroy surface bacteria.
