Hyperhydrosis is also commonly known as excessive sweating. Usually, this problem affects the palms and the soles of the feet the most, thus causing embarrassing incidents of malodorous proportions. It is extremely important for you to arm yourself with one basic fact - there is no cure available for excessive sweating.

You can control the amount you sweat with the help of aids such as anti perspirants and you can control the bad odor of perspiration. But basically, that is all you can do. It is best you know this before you start trying too many things and getting repeatedly disappointed when they do not seem to work.

One of the best ways to fight bad sweaty odor is to soak the offending part of your body in tea. Brew a strong tea with water and tea bags and soak in this after it cools. Tea contains a product called tannin, which will basically cure your skin of its bad odor. While this is one of the best ways to take care of bad foot odor, it is by no means the only one.

Feet have thousands of sweat glands, much more than any other body part, and these are all concentrated in a relatively small surface area, which makes them more active. The problem becomes worse when you keep feet in shoes or socks - the damp environment is a very happy home for bacteria to multiply thrice as fast as they usually do and will only add to body odor. Do not wear synthetic socks which will trap sweat and enhance the stink. Wear cotton socks and only when you have to. Try to stay in open toed shoes for most part. Use a powerful anti-bacterial soap to wash your feet as well as your socks and, whenever you do wash them, shoes as well. While this may be a tough measure, it is one that works and very effectively too.
