Acne Removal Treatment
I noticed that I had a few spots of acne by the left side of my nose and the under my chin. I used Clean and Clear acne wash. I now have this huge red blotch in both areas that has been there for about 3 days and isn't going away. What can I do?

Acne is a problem that we have all had to deal with sometime or another. While a lot of people simply wait for acne to disappear on its own, there are others who pick them, use home remedies, or see a doctor and get medications. Acne spots usually take their own sweet time before completely disappearing.
However, sometimes, our attempts at acne spots removal could get terribly botched too. It seems that you have extremely sensitive skin and the use of certain acne spots removal treatment has caused you to experience some kind of an allergy.
There are several medications and medicated personal care products used for acne spots removal. Most of these medications consist of chemicals which can help burn off the acne spots right from their roots. However, sometimes these chemicals are too strong for our skin, because of which they can damage the skin and cause the rashes like the one you have described.
To get rid of this rash, you can use a home made cleanser on the area of the skin where this rash has appeared. Since the skin is already irritated here, try to avoid using any kind of chemicals or harsh reagents on this skin. Also, do not use any exfoliating materials and try to be as gentle as you can when dealing with this skin. A home made cleanser is usually your best bet.
When seeking acne spots home remedies you can use freshly squeezed tomato juice on your irritated skin. The juice is acidic and may cause a little discomfort. However, the acidic juice also helps clean off excess of sebum from the skin. Try not to use the juice in excess though, because it might end up irritating your skin even more. If your skin feels a little irritated, you could use some honey on it. Simply smear a layer of honey and leave it on for a few hours. The burning sensation will disappear and the skin will become smoother.
Another acne spots removal treatment is to make a mixture of distilled water, olive oil, coconut oil, and almond oil. Now using a soft piece of cotton, apply this solution to the skin where the rash has formed. Acne spots treatments are best done with natural remedies since they are least likely to give you any side effects. Apart from the acne spots home remedies to clear acne spots, you can also consume lots of fluids in order to keep yourself hydrated and remove unnecessary toxins from your body.

You probably have sensitive skin that has reacted adversely to your face wash. It would be best to not use your face wash for a few days to give your skin time to heal. You also mentioned that you had a few spots caused by acne and if the skin in that area was raw or already irritated, using the face wash may have aggravated your skin further.
Use a soothing homemade cleanser at least for a few days as this will help to keep your skin clean as well as soothe the irritation. Mix equal amounts of tomato juice and honey and add a few drops of lemon juice to this mixture. Use a cotton ball dipped in this liquid to massage your face. Make sure that you are very gentle and do not use forceful strokes. Make sure that you do not use excess force when cleaning the affected area as this can cause further irritation. Tomato juice and lemon juice are naturally acidic and will help to dislodge any excess oil while honey will help to soothe your irritated skin. Use this cleanser once or twice a day and make sure that you rinse your face with lukewarm or cold water.
Add a few drops of olive oil, coconut oil and almond oil to a few spoons of distilled warm water. Pour this oil and water mixture into a small bottle and shake the bottle well so that the ingredients combine well. Use this as a nourishing and protective moisturizer. These oils are rich in various nutrients as well as fatty acids and will help to speed up the healing process. Pour some of the liquid into a tiny bottle and keep in your handbag so that you can moisturize your face as and when needed. Keep the excess moisturizer refrigerated. When you need a top-up, remove the refrigerated moisturizer. You will notice that the oil and water have separated. To mix them up once more, you can stand the bottle in a bowl of hot water, until the mixture has warmed sufficiently. Shake the bottle up and use it as needed.
It would be better to avoid using a face scrub at least for a few days. It is especially important that you do not use a cosmetic face scrub for a while as they generally contain perfumes and other preservative chemicals that can irritate your skin. Even when the blotches have disappeared you can continue using the home remedies that have been mentioned above as they will help to both cleanse and nourish your skin.
