The symptoms you have described are quite unusual and there are many factors to be considered before we come up with a conclusive reason as to why are suffering from palpitations. The very first thing would be your age. The next thing is to know exactly what sort of a diet you are taking.

Sometimes, a small but heavy diet may be the cause of feeling heavy and sick after meals. The other thing to take into account would be your general lifestyle. If you are used to sleeping immediately after meals, then this could be the reason you feel ill if you are moving around.

You should know that sleeping as soon as you eat is not an advisable habit, and you are better off getting rid of it. A small stroll is always a better way to make sure that the food you eat has begun to get digested. You can stroll around the house if nothing else. Sometimes, undigested food, or chronic indigestion can also cause the symptoms you have described.

You should try to address any problems you might have with a medical examination first. Depending upon your age, weight and medical history, it is entirely possible that you are suffering from some other problem and this discomfort is just a sign of the same. A complete medical examination will reveal the exact problem you may be facing. Meanwhile, you can try to make certain that the food you are eating is light and right. Heavy, oily, excessively spicy meals can lead to uneasiness, especially if eaten at night. Try to stick to a light meal of greens, vegetables and unleavened bread. Avoid meat, sweets and alcohol, especially at night. You should also make it a point to take a small walk after each meal. This will also go a long way towards easing your stomach.
