I am not aware of any treatment known as "liquid chelation" - chelation therapy however does exist, and chelation therapy often involves infusions of various substances intravenously. Chelation is a complex chemical process that basically involves the binding of one compound with another, making it easier to remove substances from the body. The process has a number of uses, but in medicine its main use is in removing poisonous substances from the body.
Chelating agents are introduced into the body and bind with the poison that would otherwise remain in the body; after this, the body is able to process the resulting substance with relatively mild side effects.
Whether or not chelation therapy is effective depends on what it is being used for - as mentioned before, it can be used successfully to remove certain poisonous and toxic substances from the body, such as arsenic and lead. Chelation therapy however usually refers to a practice in alternative medicine which claims to be able to cure several diseases including heart disease and autism.
There is unfortunately no scientific evidence supporting these claims, and in fact several medical authorities have issued warnings that this kind of chelation therapy is not only unproven but it can also be dangerous. Whenever any controlled, scientific tests have been performed, they have shown no benefits from chelation therapy relating to heart disease, autism, arteriosclerosis, and other such diseases. In addition, there are chances of other complications, such as kidney damage, heart arrhythmias, allergic reactions, blood clotting problems, and drastic loss of zinc from the body.
You have not mentioned exactly what effect you are looking to chelation therapy for, but I would advise you not to use it unless you have experienced poisoning from substances like lead, mercury, and arsenic. In fact, if this is the case, your condition will probably be quite serious and the doctors treating you will make the call.
