There are several cures for carpal tunnel syndrome, as the disease is commonly called. But first, it is important for you to arm yourself with facts about the disease, so you have a better idea of what cures to use and why you should be using them. Carpal tunnel syndrome is not a disorder that afflicts you overnight.

It is a cumulative disorder which takes a lot of time to actually start showing signs and becoming overt in the first place. You will begin to feel aches and pains in your arm and wrist over a period of months of abusing your body. Since it has taken a long time set it, carpal tunnel will also take a long time to get out.

You can follow simple methods to take care of your hand when afflicted with the problem. If you are facing tremendous shooting pains, the best thing to do is apply ice packs. This will numb the pain momentarily as well as bring down the swelling. If you are in the middle of something and the pain strikes suddenly, you should exercise your wrist at once. Rotate it clockwise and counterclockwise a few times. Remember to do this slowly, and keep in mind that if doing this aggravates your pain, you must stop at once. But you should know that you will have to start following a routine of exercise on e daily basis, because the only way to get rid of the problem is to exercise your wrist. You can begin by doing so gently, and then improve your tempo as you go along. The thing to remember is to keep the wrist and fingers moving. You can make dough of plain flour, cinnamon and honey and wrap this around the areas that hurt most. This will help to reduce the pain greatly.
