Although there are various drugs in the market that will help you to gain weight, I would strongly urge you to consider natural methods first. Many drugs for weight gain have been linked to reduced bone density which can lead to osteoporosis and an increased risk of fractures. Some drugs have also been linked to various cancers and ovarian cysts.
Most drugs that stimulate appetite are associated with harmful side effects and so they are usually recommended only in cases where their use is absolutely essential.
The safest way to gain weight is through a regular and healthy diet and exercise regimen. Include foods that are high in carbohydrates, proteins and healthy fats.
Fats are extremely high in calories so you should include more fatty acids in your diet to gain weight quicker. Use olive oil and peanut oil as they are heart healthy oils. Although you will be tempted to eat foods that are only high in fats, bingeing on one food group alone will lead to malnutrition. In addition to this it will affect the amount of nutrients your body absorbs. A decoction of fresh ginger and lime will help to stimulate your appetite. You should also include fibre in your diet as this will help to eliminate indigestion and gas. An inability to gain weight is almost always linked to an unhealthy diet. Exercising regularly will increase your appetite. Include resistance training in your daily diet. Exercising daily will ensure that you increase muscle mass and not just fat. If you do not see any results within a month have a complete medical check-up as your problem could be related to a malfunctioning of the thyroid gland. If your tests are fine, you can talk to your doctor about a drug called Cyproheptadine that stimulates weight gain.
